Senior Companion
Are you in need of companionship?
Would you like a friend to talk to who helps keep you independent?
The Senior Companion Program connects lonely seniors with other seniors who want to share their time, experience, and compassion!
Senior Companions are not caregivers, they are trained companions who can help relieve some caregiver/family member responsibilities, such as running errands, going shopping, reading together, enjoying games, or by becoming a good friend. Senior Companions serve up to 40 hours a week, completely free to the client, and have a variety of skills to help their client live productive meaningful lives!
If you are interested in connecting with a Senior Companion, contact the Kerman Senior Center.

Retired & Senior Volunteer Program
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is for persons 55 and over to share their life experiences and skills to answer the call of their neighbors in need. Giving from 4 to 10 hours per week, volunteers help by teaching children how to read, tutoring and mentoring children, counseling small businesses, assisting at health clinics, teaching other seniors how to use the internet, distributing food to the town's homeless, help create a neighborhood recycling program, provide much needed support to non-profit agencies and help make the community stronger.
