Kerman Wellness Hub
The City of Kerman Parks and Recreation received a grant from the National Recreation and Park Association to promote Parks as Community Nutrition Hubs: Expanding Access to Healthy Foods. With this grant, the City of Kerman recruited a Community Health Worker to serve as a liaison between health, social services and the community to facilitate the residents of Kerman with access to resources and provide nutrition education to strengthen healthy food decisions and improve quality of life. The Kerman Wellness Hub will also collaborate with local organizations to emerge with best practices in order to reach the community with those services.
