Local Kerman Artist, Maribel Moreno, and the City of Kerman Parks, Recreation & Community Services presents a Summer Art Class Series featuring a variety of art mediums. With 3 classes to choose from artists can improve their skills while learning new techniques. Three classes will be offered: Introduction to Drawing, Introduction to Painting, and Paper Mache. Each class costs $50 with all supplies provided. All classes will be held in the Scout Hut at Kerckhoff Park (4th & E Street).
Class Schedule:
- Introduction to Drawing: 7/23-7/25; Youth (11-17): 9:00am-12:00pm, Adult (18+): 1:00pm-4:00pm
- Introduction to Painting: 7/30-8/1; Youth (11-17): 9:00am-12:00pm, Adult (18+): 1:00pm-4:00pm
- Paper Mache: 8/6-8/8: Youth (11-17): 9:00am-12:00pm, Adult (18+): 1:00pm-4:00pm
About the artist: Based in Kerman, California, visual artist, Maribel Moreno has been honing her skills in oil painting for the past several years. Maribel blended her painting skills with her many years of experience in drawing with graphite and charcoal. She is inspired by what she sees in her daily life; people, animals, city scenes and farm landscapes. She is focused on creating colorful works showcasing the beauty that is revealed in her daily life. Ms. Moreno has won best of prints at Fresno City College Spring Art Show and her drawings were selected to be displayed at the dean's office at Clovis Community College.
