Water Division
The Public Works department is responsible for City wells, distribution lines, water meters, and back-flow prevention systems. We strive to operate a quality water service by providing safe drinking water and excellent customer service at reasonable prices.
The Domestic Water Well Resources for Homeowners in Fresno County is available if you are within two miles of a Public Water System. If your domestic well is experiencing problems, contact the State Water Resources Control Board at 559-447-3300 or USDA Rural Development at 559-276-7494, ext.4 for more information about possible funding to connect to the Public Water System.

The Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) is a requirement of the Urban Water Management Planning Act (UWMPA) (Division 6, Part 2.6 of the California Water Code (CWC) §10610-10656. The 2020 UWMP for the City was adopted at the regular City Council Meeting held on July 13, 2022.
All homes in the City of Kerman have water meters installed at this time. Due to State Law, the City of Kerman is required to meter all homes and businesses. if you have any questions about the usage or installation of meters, please contact the Water Division or the Public Works Department at 559-846-6159 or 559-846-9343.
Water service billing and customer service are handled through our Finance Department. For any questions concerning your water bill or service, please call the Finance Department at (559) 846-9384
