Parks and Recreation Commission

The Recreation Commission is made up of 5 members (two student commissioners) who serve 3-year terms. The role of the Recreation Commission is to serve as an advisory board to the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director. The Commission's responsibilities include:

  • Advising on planning and policy matters relating to the goals and services provided by the department
  • Advising on planning and policy matters relating to the construction and renovation of facilities
  • Receiving community input concerning parks, open space and recreation activities

You are encouraged to take an active role in the community and apply to serve on the Recreation Commission.

Appointments to the Recreation Commission are made in December of each year.
