The City of Kerman’s Westside Veterans Memorial Building Opening Day Ceremony was held on May 16.

This quest began in May of 2011 with a presentation to the City Council to locate suitable property to house a Kerman Area Veterans facility. A property was located and renovation began.

After many hours of labor the American Legion Westland Post 355 Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8470 and American Legion Auxiliary Westland Unit 355 was completed.

The opening ceremony was well attended with presentations from Fresno County Supervisor Brian Pacheco and Kerman Mayor Stephen B. Hill.
