Soroptimist Park

Soroptimist Park (2.14 acres) is Kerman’s first 100% handicap accessible playground. The innovative playground equipment allows a child in a wheelchair to ascend up the playground ramp simultaneously with another child. The playground area features a poured-in-place rubber surfacing which allows for easy wheelchair access and serves as an additional safety feature.  Additional park amenities include a small grass area, attractive landscaping, picnic benches, picnic tables, antique-style lighting, wrought iron fencing, and shelter structures.

Driving Directions

From the north — Head south on Madera Avenue as you enter Kerman. Turn right (west) onto Kearney Blvd. Travel approximately one mile. Park will be located on your right hand side at the corner of Kearney Blvd and Siskiyou Avenue.

From the south — 
Head north on Madera Avenue as you enter Kerman. Turn left (west) onto Kearney Blvd. Travel approximately one mile. Park will be located on your right hand side at the corner of Kearney Blvd. and Siskiyou Avenue.

Park use reservations can be made in person at the Recreation Office, located at the Community/Teen Center, 15101 West Kearney Plaza. Telephone reservations are not accepted. Reservations are made on a first-come basis.
