Pool Manager – Under the general supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, this individual will be responsible for managing the daily operation at the Kerman Community Pool. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising and scheduling lifeguard/instructor staff, overseeing the maintenance of the facility and equipment, planning and conducting in-service training for the staff; communicating effectively with department staff, participants and the public, and performing lifeguarding/instruction duties as required. Assistant Pool Manager – Under the general supervision of the Pool Manager, this individual will be responsible for managing the daily operation at the Kerman Community Pool. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising lifeguard/instructor staff, assisting with the maintenance of the facility and equipment, planning and conducting in-service training for the staff; communicating effectively with department staff, participants and the public, and performing lifeguarding/instruction duties as required. Lifeguard – Under the general supervision of the Pool Manager, this individual will be responsible for lifeguarding at the Kerman Community Pool. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, lifeguarding during recreational swim and private pool parties; providing quality swim lessons with appropriate skills and methods; communicating effectively with Department staff, participants and the public; working with others to prevent accidents and enforce safety rules; responding appropriately to water and non-water emergencies; and assisting with the maintenance of the facility and equipment.
